Beautiful Spring Day

Today has been an abso­lutely fant­astic spring day. Warm, sunny, with only a slight breeze — while there have been a few good days in the past week or so, today really was superlative.

On the way back from the gym (no jacket needed — t-shirt weather!) I noticed that all that daf­fodils had come out, seem­ingly overnight. Com­bined with the last of the crocuses,who braved com­ing into the light about three weeks ago, Hulme Park, where I live, is a beau­ti­ful place right now.

(The daf­fodils never last long. The park is also next to a primary school, and the kids there steal quite a few. I’d like to think they are tak­ing them home to their mums, as I did when I was that age)
