I always kinda wanted one of these very cute, very clever robotic dinosaurs – but I’ve missed the boat. It seems as if Ugobe, the company that made Pleo, has gone the way of the dinosaur and filed for bankruptcy. A real shame.

Around nine months ago, <strike>my OCD got the better of me and </strike> I decided to tidy up all the european power adaptors kicking about the house. I had used a heap of shaver adaptors, but they weren’t particularly good and they definitely were bulky. I went out and bought a bunch of Europlug – UK plug convertors, attached them to the Europlugs, tidied all the wires away and put the freed-up shaver adaptors in a safe place.

Today I got a new Bluetooth adaptor for my motorbike helmet. And yes, it’s got a Europlug. Such is the hazard of buying from eBay, I guess. However, I know I have a bunch of spare shaver adaptors lying about somewhere, so this is not a problem.

Rather, it would not be a problem if only I could find the damn things. I’m pretty neat around the house, and there are only three places where spare electrical stuff lurks. The adaptors are not in any of them. Nor will I have thrown them out – I simply don’t do that sort of thing.

So, in order to get my Bluetooth adaptor charged up, I had to go out and buy another adaptor. It’s all charged, tested, and married to my phone and GPS. I’m all connected.

But that £1.69 for the adaptor? It’s irritating!
